FolkeLarm 2009

FolkeLarm does not book hotel rooms for its audience before or during the festival. If you are going to the festival and need a place to stay, it is important to arrange accomodation as the early as  possible, as Oslo's hotels may get fully booked in this periode.

If you are a delegate, however, FolkeLarm's hotell agreements apply to you. Below you will find information on the hotels that are connected to the festival. Contact FolkeLarm by e-mail, (regarding your hotel order,) and we will send you a code you can use with your order, which will give you a festival discount. As a delegate, you should order as soon as possible, since the prices will rise in September.

THON HOTEL SLOTTSPARKEN

This year's FolkeLarm hotel is Thon Hotel Slottsparken, which will provide accomodation for this year's artists and international delegates. The hotel is situated near the Royal castle in downtown Oslo. It offers studio apartments and rooms, only 5 minutes from Oslo's main street, Karl Johans gate, on foot. To get to Torshov take tram number 11, from the stop called Tullinløkka, just around the corner from the hotel.

Single room, including breakfast: kr. 750,- per night.

Double room, including breakfast: kr. 950,- per night.

FolkeLarm also has a cooperation with with Best Western Anker Hotel. It is situated at a very central location, with Oslo's main street Karl Johans gate in one direction and Grünerløkka in the other. With bus-, tram- and taxi stops right outside the door, transportation to all parts of Oslo is readily available. Trams number 11, 12 and 13 take you Torshov and FolkeLarm at Soria Moria in ten minutes.

MS INNVIK - ART BED AND BREAKFAST

We can recommend this floating rarity: a lively cultural venue moored at Bjørvika. The core of the Innvik's activity is the theatre, but onboard you will also often find a great variety of activities. Apart from the theatre, there is a café as well as a Bed&Breakfast. The cabins are not especially big, but there is room for two people in some, and for three in others. The Innvik has 12 outwardly located cabins, all with their own bathroom.

The prices (in NKR) are kr. 425,- for a single room and kr. 750,- for a double room. Breakfast is included in the price.

There must be no noise from the cabins when there is activity in the theatre. This could mean that guests would have to use the showers or toilets in other parts of the boat.
