Å legge på svøm is about reaching towards new waters, but knowing that you are still swimming in the same sea as all of those to whom you are indebted within the tradition. The duo Gard Nergaard / Michael Krumins brings together two unruly virtuosos in the creative continuation of folk music from Southern Norway.

These are soaring compositions in a sparkling interplay with a narrative ability of rare virtuosity. On stage, the duo stretches fiddles and guitars to breaking point, and weaves the music into a universe of myths and stories, leading you to believe that both ghosts and the devil himself could appear!

Within a short time, the duo has established itself as fearless, musical fireworks with a lot to say. During Folkelarm 2017, they will release their album "Legg på svøm", an ambitious, inter-disciplinary continuation of a complete folk music universe. The music is accompanied by a book of stories and artworks that together create a beautifully-formed statement. A full package - this is a journey you will not want to miss!
