Harv (SE)

The Swedish instrumental folk music group Harv was established in 1996, originally as a duo with Magnus Stinnerbom and Daniel Sandén-Warg. In 2001they expanded into a quartet, bringing in Christian Svenssen on percussion and David Tallroth on guitar. Harv has a solid group of fans in Scandinavia, and their wide-ranging touring in Europe, South-America and USA have provided them listeners worldwide.

Harv released their first album in 1997. Their fifth, and at the time of writing their last, album Polka Raggioso received higly acclaimed reviews in national and international press alike when released in 2005. In 2005-2006 Harv toured extensively in Norway and Sweden with Tryllefløyta en folkemusik opera, a production where Mozart’s The Magic Flute is performed as a folk music opera.

After this all-embracing work the group had a break – lasting longer than they expected. But now Harv is finally back! This time as a quintet. New members are Roger Tallroth (Väsen), who also contributed to their second ablum Must (2000), and Sondre Meisfjord (Gjermund Larsen trio).
