The four Navarra musicians compose new music with strong roots in Nordic traditional music, though inspired by jazz, pop and classical music. The interaction of vocals, piano, fiddle and drums allows a mix of intensity and sensitivity, calm reflection and merciless force.

- Our main idea is to create new music with Swedish lyrics, something that has been scarce in Nordic folk music, Navarra says. - Afterwards we blend the music with elements from other genres so that people might enter our music from different viewpoints, nevertheless we always do guard the musical traditions.

Their 2011 album debut Nya fönster received great reviews and “Fresh and different”, “multifaceted and timeless” and “modern, conservative and high-quality” are just some of the many positive critiques.
Navarra highlights the energetic drive in the music and embrace the complexity of the sound.
