Nina | Audun

To convey the traditional, acoustic music can take its toll on any man - and woman. The duo Nina | Audun is genuine and straight to the bone. The two perform a repertoire to which they have a strong personal relationship, both as listeners and performers. The varied repertoire consists of music from Norway, Denmark, USA and Ireland as well as original compositions.

The duo strives for a simplistic and functional form of expression; the varied repertoire must have good timing and rhythm, and the duo wants above all to deliver strong live appearances. Naturally, the musical performance takes centre stage, but entertaining narrative passages with tales of encounters with fascinating local people and their music is also a vital component of a Nina|Audun live show.

During the 2009 National Folk Music Championships, the duo won the open class category.

Nina Fjeld from Gausdal in the Gudbrandsdal valley, has worked with music for dance and theatre productions, is the musical director for ensemble Gausdal Spelemannslag and is a versatile performer with roots in the music of the Gudbrandsdal district.
