AUROM

Aurom består av folkesangerne: Malin Alander, Ingebjørg Lognvik Reinholdt og Guro Utne Salvesen. Vokaltrioen Aurom henter tidløse sanger fra tradisjonen, og tar de med inn i sitt Aurom-univers.  

De skriver nye sanger inspirert av de gamle, og de mange vokaltradisjonene rundt om i verden. Musikken deres har alltid en touch av improvisasjon og spontanitet. Tre ulike stemmer med stort spenn og en sjelden samklang. Aurom har funnet hverandre i lekenheten, og i kjærligheten til stemmen sin evne til å si så mange ting uten at en trenger å ytre ett ord.   

Trioen platedebuterte med albumet “Utan å dirre” på Nye Nor (tidl. NORCD) 2021, og ble nominert til Folkelarmprisen i 2021 i “Åpen klasse”. I 2022 kom trioen med ny musikk, bestillingsverket “O, svage sind” som ble urframført på Førdedestivalen.  

“O, svage sind” er ett samarbeid mellom vokaltrioen Aurom, komponist Agnes Ida Pettersen og forfatter Agnes Ravatn. Verket utforsker det sjulte og ville i oss selv, i møte med egne krav og omverdenen sine rammer og rytmer. 

Aurom is the folksingers Malin Alander, Ingebjørg Lognvik Reinholdt and Guro Utne Salvesen.  The vocal trio Aurom collects timeless songs from tradition and brings them into their own Aurom-universe.  

They compose new songs inspired by the old and by the many glorious vocal traditions in the world. Their music always has a touch of spontaneity and improvisation. Their arrangements are influenced by the ability a voice has to say so many things without a single word. Their texts are inspired by the conflicts within, the flickers of ultimate happiness, and the complexities of being human. Now and then.  

Aurom released their first album “Utan å dirre” on Nye Nor label in 2021.  

In 2022, Aurom visited Førdefestivalen with new music composed by the trio in collaboration with composer Agnes Ida Pettersen, author Agnes Ravatn, and as always, with the beautiful traditional music woven into it. The concert is named “Oh, weak mind,” inspired by interpretations of traditional stories of being seduced into, or searching for a way into the mountain, into another world.
