Folkelarm er stolt over å presentere samarbeidet, som vi har kalt Global North.
Global North Network, er et nettverk for arenaer, festivaler og organisasjoner som jobber med internasjonale tradisjonsmusikere bosatt i Norden.

Folkelarm samarbeider i 2025 med Global North Network, festivalen Transform - Trondheim World Music Festival og Samspill International Music Network.
Samarbeidet har fått navnet Global North og muliggjør at flere nordiske band bestående internasjonale tradisjonsmusikere får showcase på Folkelarm. Det betyr også at flere land blir representert og at vi får høre et større mangfold av tradisjonsuttrykk en tidligere.
Under tittelen Global North får vi på plass tre ekstra showcaser: en barneforestilling, og to andre internasjonale tradsjonsmusikere bosatt i, og med sitt hovedpublikum i Norden.
De tre artistene som opptrer under headingen Global North finner vi:
Global North Network is a network for venues, festivals, and organizations that work with international traditional musicians living in the Nordic countries.
In 2025, Folkelarm is collaborating with the Global North Network, the festival Transform – Trondheim World Music Festival, and Samspill International Music Network.
The collaboration is called Global North, and it enables more Nordic bands consisting of international traditional musicians to showcase at Folkelarm. It also means that more countries will be represented and that we will hear a greater diversity of traditional expressions than ever before.
Under the title Global North, we are presenting three additional showcases: one children’s performance, and two others featuring international traditional musicians who are based in, and have their main audience in, the Nordic region.
