Med røttene godt plantet i den Vest-Götska låtskatten spillet Alice Klint og Kristin Kennemark både egenkomponerte melodier og tradisjonsmusikk. Et kraftfullt, fortellende og forrykende samspill gjør at dansen aldri er langt borte. Vågspel er duoen som tar partypolskaen til et nytt nivå!
I 2015 ble duoen utnevnt til Årets Unga Folkmusikband på Folkmusiknatta i Falun og de har side den gang spilt på noen av de største folkeusikkscenene i Sverige. Vågspels debutalbum ble sluppet i 2017 og duoen ble året etter kåret til Årets nykommer på Folk og Världsmusikgalan i Norrköping.
Alice Klint og Kristin Kennemark har begge kandidateksamen i klassisk musikk, noe som har bidratt til duoens høye tekniske nivå og er med på å skape en frihet innenfor både felespill og komposisjon. Vågspels musikk er rytmisk og melodiøs, innovativ og leken. Det sterke vennskapet mellom musikerne er grunnsteinen i det gnistrende samspillet, og sammen sammen tar de for seg de store følelsene musikken!

Rooted in the musical tradition of Västergötland, they experiment and captivate their audiences with ‘’party polskor’’ and enchanting melodies. Vågspel holds strong interplay at its core. They bring a playfulness to the stage that never leaves dance too far away.
In 2015, the duo won the title of Young Folk Band of the Year at Folkmusiknatta in Falun and have since played on the largest folk music stages in Sweden. Vågspel's debut album was released in 2017 and the following year the duo was crowned Newcomer of the Year at the Folk and World Music Gala in Norrköping.
Alice Klint and Kristin Kennemark each have a bachelor's degree in classical music, which has contributed to the duo's high technical level and provided a freedom in both violin playing and composing. Vågspel mixes traditional folk music with their own compositions, creating music that is rhythmic, melodic, innovative and playful. The friendship between the musicians is the foundation of the duo’s performance. Together, they explore life’s big emotions!
