Camilla Granlien - Dyr og rare kjerringer!

The folk singer, Camilla Granlien, is joined here by Jo Skaansar (bass) and Helge Norbakken (percussion) in a playful meeting between traditions and genres. Here they present songs from the Gudbrandsdalen song tradition. There are songs about ants, foxes, a big pig, some little fish and of course, many strange women!

Over the past few years, the musicians have toured nursery schools and festivals with this material and have seen that it appeals to everyone, no matter what age they are. The target age group is therefore 0-100. If you have rhythm in your body, this concert is for you! Here you will get the chance to clap along, tap your feet to the beat and sing along.

The concert is particularly suitable for families with children, but it can equally be a concert for adults. Here you will find lyrics and humour that can be understood on many levels. In June 2017, the music was released on ta:lik records, not just in CD format, but as a CD with an accompanying activity book.

Helge Norbakken has had a long career within the music industry. With drums and percussion as his main instruments, he has worked with amongst others Mari Boine, Jon Balke, Kari Bremnes, Maria Joao, Karl Seglam, Becaye Aw, Miki N’Doye, Jovan Pavlovic and Anne Wylie.

Jo Fougner Skaansar is a jazz bass player and composer. He has a masters degree in jazz double bass from The Norwegian State Academy of Music in Oslo (2010). He has an album, Den blåaste natt, under his own name, and contributes to many albums within the folk and jazz genres.

Camilla Granlien works as a freelance singer. She has been involved in many concerts and projects, everything from nursery school concerts to concerts in retirement homes. In addition, she has been a part of diverse solo and band projects. Camilla has released several CDs and has won prizes and grants for her work as a folk singer.
