Ánnámáret & Ilkka Heinonen combines Sámi and Carelian traditions. The sound of the duo is a mixture of Sámi yoik and Carelian jouhikko sound and music in a delicate, intimate form.
Ánnámáret, Anna Näkkäläjärvi-Länsman is a Sámi yoiker. She released her first yoik album Nieguid duovdagat with her band in February 2021. Before that Anna Näkkäläjärvi-Länsman has released two solo albums with Ánnámáret Ensemble (Beallječiŋat 2011 and Gollehelmmot 2016). Her latest album Bálvvosbáiki was selected as the Best Folk Music Album of 2024 by all the main Finnish folk music organizations.
Ánnámáret has showcased at e.g. WOMEX, Mondial Montreal, Nordic Folk Alliance and Tallinn Music Week. She has operated as a solo artist in many Sámi music productions, in and outside Finland.
Ilkka Heinonen is a musician and composer, who specialises in folk music. His instruments include the Finnish bowed lyre, G-violone and the contrabass. In addition to bands that have gained influence from European folk music cultures, Heinonen has worked as both a solo artist and in an orchestra, in concerts and in projects of modern and traditional music. He is one of the most in-demand folk musicians in Finland.

Ánnámáret & Ilkka Heinonen kombinerer samiske og karelske tradisjoner. Duoens uttrykk er en blanding av samisk joik og den karelske jouhikko-lyden og -musikken, i en finstemt og intim form.
Ánnámáret, Anna Näkkäläjärvi-Länsman, er joiker. Hun ga ut sitt første joikealbum Nieguid duovdagat med sitt band i februar 2021. Før dette har hun gitt ut to soloalbum med Ánnámáret Ensemble (Beallječiŋat i 2011 og Gollehelmmot i 2016). Hennes siste album Bálvvosbáiki ble kåret til Årets folkemusikkalbum i 2024 av alle de sentrale finske folkemusikkorganisasjonene.
