Trio Wolski plays modern, innovative folk music with inspiration from the Nordic folk tradition. The musicians take impressions from the many meetings and experiences that enrich their lives and create elaborate arrangements and free improvisations. Their combination of instruments - cittern, violin and accordion - enables broad shifts in dynamics and intensity. Through the joy of playing, they create music that feels personal and cheerful. The trio has played together since 2016. They were early nominated for Newcomer of the Year at the "Danish Music Awards Folk" and then for Newcomer of the Year at the "Folk & World Music Gala" 2018. The band has released the albums Late Bloomer and Hunnsberg Sessions, given concerts all over Scandinavia, won the European Folk Music Award 2019 in Germany and been selected as Music in the South's first Ensemble in Residence. Today, the musicians live in different cities around Sweden but have their meeting point on the small farm Hunnsberg in western Småland. There they find the peace and quiet of the country - a contrast to life in the big cities, and a perfect place to get inspiration and create music together. “The musicians, whose roots are rooted in Swedish folk music, offered a wide musical spectrum. The band's joy of playing was felt right into the back rows of seats. There were stormy applause in the finale.” (Translated quote) Blick Newspaper - Germany 2019
