Seminar: “Why take the risk?”
- er kulturelt mangfold kun egnet for barn? 

Over the past 30 years, society has changed dramatically in terms of cultural diversity.

We still see that cultural life lags behind in the programming of music genres from different cultures. In Norway, flamenco and raga music are still called “narrow genres”, and we experience that organizers are reluctant to include this music in their programs.

At the same time, we see that the big stages often do not include new audience groups. How can we inspire organizers to see the opportunities in reaching out to new audience groups?

How can we give more musicians access to more stages in addition to events aimed at children?

De siste 30 årene har samfunnet endret seg dramatisk med tanke på kulturelt mangfold. 

Fortsatt ser vi at kulturlivet henger etter i programmeringen av musikksjangre fra ulike kulturer. I Norge blir flamenco og ragamusikk fortsatt beskrevet som “smale sjangre”, og vi opplever at arrangører vegrer seg for å ta denne musikken inn i sitt program.

Samtidig ser vi at de store scenene ofte ikke inkluderer nye publikumsgrupper. Hvordan kan vi inspirere arrangører til å se mulighetene i å nå ut til nye publikumsgrupper?
Hvordan kan vi gi flere musikere innpass på flere scener i tillegg til arrangementer rettet mot barn?
