FolkelarmUNG

FolkelarmUNG - english
Sunday, November 16, there will be activities for both children and adults in and around Schouskvartalet. Three children’s performances will take place at Riksscenen, along with dance activities and a storytelling session in the Lavvu outside. All activities are free and open to everyone.
Alvina & Gard - Platt Planet
– a wondrous and beautiful performance for children
The Swedish-Norwegian fiddle duo Alvina & Gard place storytelling at the heart of their music, exploring new colors in playful interaction – close to each other and close to the audience. With strong presence and a distinctive expression, they create experiences that both move and challenge. Their album Tillflykten, released in 2024, received glowing reviews.
For FolkelarmUNG, they present Platt Planet – a poetic and musical fable about longing and greed, and what happens when the horizon disappears. What happens to a society when we stop listening – to each other, to nature, to what we actually know?
In Platt Planet, we encounter a world where the rainbow still sparkles in the morning, but where something is starting to go wrong. With newly composed folk music, dance, and scenic presence, the duo tells a powerful story that raises big questions with simple means.

Tipp, Tipp, Tátara, Ur! - Old is Fun!
Tipp, Tipp, Tátara, Ur! is a trio of versatile musicians who sing, play, swap instruments, improvise, dance, tell stories – and (most importantly!) have fun with the music our great-great-great-grandparents once listened to. Old is Fun is a children’s performance designed to offer a playful, experimental, and diverse experience of folk and early music for kids. The core repertoire comes from old manuscripts from Norway, Peru, Portugal, and Germany from the 1700s and 1800s, as well as tunes passed down orally to this day.
Adrian Lara – vocals, storytelling, dance, string instruments, pan flute, and percussion
Maria Kornelia Lund – vocals, fiddle, pan flute, and percussion
David Cariano Timme – vocals, percussion, cavaquinho, and pan flute
Håkon Hemmer - Hallingline + suprise!
