Join the North Atlantic Song Circle at Folkelarm
Singers and listeners are warmly invited to the North Atlantic Song Circle at Folkelarm in Oslo on Friday, 20 November at 17:00 at Riksscenen. Hosted by Scottish Gaelic singer Brian Ó hEadhra, this session offers a welcoming space to share and hear traditional songs from across the region.
Rooted in local solo vocal traditions, the circle a cappella (voice only, no instruments) in a natural, unamplified setting. The ethos is informal and egalitarian—everyone is welcome as an equal, whether you are a professional artist, a casual singer, or simply an attentive listener. The focus is on sharing stories, cultures, and languages through song, rather than delivering a polished performance.
Come along to share an unaccompanied traditional song, join in on a chorus, or sit back and listen
The Song Circle is organized by North Atlantic Song Convention
